How Do I Book?
Currently no prior booking is required – simply turn up ten to fifteen minutes before the training session is due to start to organise your ticket for either the ABA Boxing Training Sessions or for Boxfit.

Is Bishop’s Stortford Amateur Boxing Club Suitable for Beginners?
Yes, BSABC is suitable for beginners. If you are primarily interested in fitness through boxing, we recommend Boxfit.

When are ABA Boxing Training Sessions Held?
ABA Boxing training sessions are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings. In the lead up to shows and competitions, additional weekend training sessions are often held as well.

Adults (14 years & older) 6.45pm – 8.00pm

Please ensure that you are ready to start with hand wraps and gloves on by the session start time.

What Should I Wear?
You should wear clothing suitable for exercise and free range of movement e.g. shorts, trainers and t –shirt etc.

The club has a selection of gloves suitable for beginners that can be used during the first few weeks, but these have been ‘well used’ and after a short period of time you will probably want to get your own pair of gloves.

Please ensure that you are ready to start with hand wraps and gloves on by the session start time.

How Much Does ABA Boxing Training Cost at BSABC?
ABA (Amateur Boxing Association) Boxing Training costs £3.00 per session. There is currently no fee to join the Bishop’s Stortford Amateur Boxing Club and you pay-per-session.

What If I’m New to Boxing?
We recommend anyone new to boxing starts by attending Boxfit classes which are run by the club’s Chairman Scott Gleed.

Boxfit is non-contact and excellent for learning boxing techniques whilst at the same time developing the levels of fitness required for the ring. We often see people gain confidence through Boxfit and then progress to attending our ABA boxing training sessions. You’re very welcome to come along and bring any friends and family who share your interest.

Boxfit classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. For Full Boxfit Details Click Here

Do You Do One-to-One Boxing Coaching?
BSABC do not currently provide specific one-to-one boxing training outside of regular training sessions during which everyone gets to work with our coaches who will train you based on your ability.

Please Note:
If you are primarily interested in fitness through boxing, we recommend Boxfit from which you can advance to white collar boxing if you wish.

How Old Do I Need To Be?
We train youngsters from 14 years old and have members who are in their 50’s.

If you are interested in competitive amateur boxing, you need to be aged 36 or younger and should attend our ABA training nights. ABA (Amateur Boxing Association) rules state that amateur boxing finishes at age 36.
