Our thanks to Ware Boxing Club for organising a gym show at the Wodson Park Sports and Leisure Centre in Ware on Saturday 22nd June where junior and senior boxers from both clubs put on a great display over boxing the twenty bouts.
Twelve boxers from Stortford Boxing Club where competing, many of them for the first time, and they provided some of the most entertaining fights of the day which were enjoyed by over 300 spectators and supporters.
We are pleased to say that the Best Boxer award went to Stortford’s Billy Wise – well done Billy!
A surprise attendee was popular local and WBO super-middleweight Champion Billy Joe Saunders who took the time for photos and chats with everyone in the crowd. His young sons also took part in a some of the bouts and provided their fair share of entertainment.
Great work Ware Boxing Club, thank you for the invitation and your sportsmanship on the day.
